Taraji P. Henson has had just about enough of 50 Cent and his trolling (haven’t we all?)
50 Cent has never been shy about his opinion of the hit Fox series Empire. The rapper and TV producer has dissed everything about the show, from the plot that he feels borrows elements of his life, to the same sex love scenes that have frequently been weaved into the show. Days after the season 3 premiere, 50 posted a screenshot of Taraji with a headline taunting the Empire cast over a dip in ratings.
“Well look at the bright side at least. You can eat your trophies,” 50 Cent wrote in an Instagram post that has since been deleted. “I was talking to old girl but you felt like you had to respond. SMH you know I love you cookie. I got a new show for you BMF COMING SOON !!!#EFFENVODKA.”
50 Cent, never one to let things slide, continued going in on the Empire fans with a few more jabs:
Taraji in an ever so classy way, responded to the diss claiming that despite the dip, Empire still managed to bring in 10 million viewers on premiere night.
“For the confused ppl. Do REAL research!!! Loose change makes sooooooo much UNNECESSARY NOISE,” she shared on Instagram Saturday afternoon. “STILL LOOKING FOR THAT DAMN CENT SIGN!!! I guess it’s obsolete. AGAIN CONGRATS ON YOUR SUCCESS BLACK MAN!!! @50cent.”
Taraji wasn’t the only one to engage in the war of words. Empire co-star Jussie Smollett, who plays Cookie’s son Jamaal, and Vivica A. Fox who plays Cookie’s sister, decided to give 50 a piece of their mind as well.
We all know 50 Cent is extremely competitive and can be flat out petty, but did he go too far this time? Sound off in the comments.
