Sure it’s rare that the mistress is ever the one to land the guy with the age old, “He will never leave his wife for you”, forever ringing true — except in these cases. Although they were once mistresses, these stars eventually made their “other woman” into their “one and only”.
Claire Danes & Billy Crudup
In 2005, Danes and Crudup meet on set, and immediately fell in love. Crudup said sayonara to his pregnant wife, and married Danes. Unfortunately, the marriage didn’t last long as history tends to repeat itself and in 2006 Danes fell in love with her co-star Hugh Dancy. Danes left Crudup and married Dancy in 2009.
Blake Shelton & Miranda Lambert
While co-hosting a show on CMT together, a very married Shelton fell for Lambert. Shelton divorced his wife and married Lambert in 2011. Seems old habits die hard as Shelton is now split from Lambert and is involved with songstress Gwen Stefani.
Brad Pitt & Angelina Jolie
Possibly one of the most publicized cases of a celeb leaving his wife for his mistress, Angelina and Brad met on the set of their 2004 film “Mr. and Mrs. Smith”. Even though Pitt was married to Jennifer Aniston at the time, the hunky celeb left the “Friends” star to marry Jolie.
Johnny Depp & Amber Heard
Sparks immediately flew between the two actors when they met on the 2009 set of the film “The Rum Diary”. Even though Depp was in a relationship of 14-years with his baby mama Vanessa Paradis, Depp left her and eventually married Heard in February of 2015.
Britney Spears & Kevin Federline
Ah, B-Spears and K. Fed, Hollywood’s not so golden couple. In 2004 the princess of pop met and fell in love with her backup dancer, Federline. A few months later the pair announced their engagement, only issue? Federline was still on a break with his baby mama Shar Jackson, with whom he shared two children. Spears and Federline divorced in 2006. They have two sons together.
Woody Allen & Soon-Yi
With a reputation for immense talent, Allen also carries a reputation for, er, homewrecking. In one of the most provocative scandals in decades, the acclaimed producer left his partner of 14 years, Mia Farrow, to pursue a relationship with her adopted daughter, Soon-Yi, who is 31 years his junior. The pair married in 1997 and have been together since.
Dean McDermott & Tori Spelling
Just a month after meeting each other, Spelling and McDermott filed for divorce from their respective spouses and tied the matrimonial knot with each other shortly after. The irony? Last year reports surfaced that McDermott cheated on Spelling with his ex-wife with whom he cheated with Spelling on. Classic.
Julia Roberts & Danny Moder
Roberts and her now husband cameraman Danny Moder met on the set of Robert’s 2001 film “The Mexican”. Even though Roberts was in a relationship and the time and Moder was married, sparks flew. After filing for divorce, Moder and Roberts tied the knot in 2002.
