Chelsea 2-2 Watford Video Highlights 2015 (Premier League)

Guus Hiddink took charge of Chelsea for the first time as new manager against high flying Watford side who came to Stamford Bridge in superb form with 4 back to back wins. Chelsea however took the lead in first half with Diego Costa scoring just after the half hour mark but goals from Troy Deeney (Penalty) and Ighalo on either side of the break made it 2-1 for Watford and Chelsea seemed to heading towards another defeat But Costa equalised in 65th minute to make it 2-2.

A breathtaking game at Stamford Bridge saw both Chelsea and Watford taking lead in the game but fail to keep it. Goal from Costa in first half put Chelsea 1-0 up but Watford came roaring back with a penalty and a deflected shot to make it 2-1 in 57th minute. But Costa converted from close range to make it 2-2 on the day. Oscar missed a late penalty to win all three points for Chelsea.

Chelsea vs Watford Preview & Team News: Guus Hiddink addressed the media for the first time on friday as Chelsea manager and he stated that he is confident of turning things around for Chelsea. However his first assignment against Watford he might be without Eden Hazard who suffered the hip injury in Mourinho’s last game as manager. Chelsea are likely to go with Diego Costa leading the line and Willian, Pedro, Hazard (Doubtful) in attacking midfield roles. Matic and Fabregas should keep their places in midfield.

Watford on the other hand are coming into this game on the back of four consecutive wins and currently sit 7th in the table just 3 behind Manchester City in third place. They will have Ighalo and Deeney in attacking roles with packed midfield of Jurado, Adbi, Watson and Capoue while Nathan Ake won’t play against his parent club so Anya will be slotted at left back position. This is how I expect both teams to lineup on Saturday.

Predictions: I think Chelsea will be motivated enough with the new manager combine with playing at home they should be able to counter what Watford has to offer. Hornets are in great form but to be fair their gameplay is very one dimensional with Ighalo and Deeney creating havoc. If Chelsea can keep these two quite they should be able get the clean and score that odd goal on the other-side. I am going with a 2-1 win for Chelsea at the Bridge.
